Who We Are
We are the diaspora of Grand Kivu — born and raised in the heart of eastern Congo. From Bukavu to Goma, from Uvira to Beni, Kivu is more than a region to us. It is our home, our history, and our responsibility.
We are the sons and daughters of Grand Kivu. We understand this war because we were born into it. Today, we stand with the people of Goma, Bukavu, and all of eastern DRC to say: Kivu will never be Rwanda.
We are not outsiders commenting from afar. We are witnesses of this war. We have lived through the displacement, the trauma, the massacres, and the betrayal. We know the land. We know the people. And most importantly — we understand the root causes of this conflict better than anyone.
We carry the spirit of Wazalendo, the patriotic defenders who rose to protect Congo’s sovereignty when institutions failed. Their courage lives in us. Their mission fuels ours.
We created KivuWillNeverBeRwanda.is to fight back — with truth, unity, and purpose.
Our Mission
Our mission is to:
Expose the real forces behind the crisis in eastern Congo — especially Rwanda’s hidden hand in destabilising the region.
Defend the sovereignty of the Democratic Republic of Congo and the dignity of our people in Kivu.
Amplify the voices of Congolese communities suffering under foreign-backed militias like M23.
Mobilise global solidarity for justice, accountability, and peace in our homeland.
Why We Fight?
We fight because we owe it to our ancestors — and to the children of Congo who deserve peace. We fight because we are Kivu — and Kivu will never be Rwanda.
Our Vision
We envision a free, sovereign, and united Congo, where no foreign power can redraw borders, fund terror, or loot our resources with impunity.
A Congo where:
Kivu is no longer a war zone, but a thriving region led by its own people.
Truth replaces propaganda in the international discourse.
The Congolese diaspora works hand-in-hand with those back home to rebuild, resist, and rise.
We fight with spirit, conviction, and unwavering belief in the principles of Wazalendo — the patriotic defenders of Congo’s sovereignty. Like them, we stand for freedom, dignity, and national pride. We are inspired by their courage and rooted in their values.
We will not allow history to be rewritten.
We will not allow Congo to be balkanised.
We will not allow silence to become complicity.
